Julia heads up the Communications and Policy team, which helps bring about change by starting conversations about big ideas and sharing Bioregional’s knowledge and good practice with the media, policy makers and business.
Before joining Bioregional Julia worked at the sustainable energy charity Ashden, running the PR and digital media activities around the Ashden Awards. Prior to this she was at the Ethical Trading Initiative, helping raise awareness of the importance of protecting workers’ rights in global supply chains and working with ETI members on media issues.
Before catching the communications bug she worked in international development consulting, including spending four years in Palestine during the 1990s, where she worked on various consulting assignments and learned to speak Arabic.
Julia’s interests include singing and grammar pedantry.
